Knitting Central Sock Club Registration

Membership is open once again.

This year, we will offer the sock club as a 6-month membership. You will receive three packages within the six months. The first will go out the first week in October, the second package the first week in December and the third package the first week in February.We are planning on offering another membership for the second half of the year, which will be announced early 2009.

Last year, our focus was on hand-dyed yarns. This year, the focus will be on techniques. We all noticed that you loved experiencing new yarns, but you enjoyed the techniques the girls exposed you to the most. We will find yarns that we feel show you the best stitch definition, texture, etc. Saying that, I think you can assume there will be more semi-solid and solid colorways. However, the designer will certainly choose a variegated fiber if she thinks that will be the best choice for her designs. We know what great sock knitters you are, and we've designed our patterns to take you the next level in your sock knitting. This can, and will, include some great hand-dyed yarns, so don’t worry about missing out.

The package will include:

• An original design from a Knitting Central staff or teacher
  
• A well written, tech-edited pattern with picture
  
• A letter from the designer, which will explain her technique of choice in depth, an explanation of why she chose the yarn she did for the technique or design she is working with, and other peeks into the process
  
• An invitation to our Yahoo Group, which has been developed for members only. The designer of the month will constantly be on our group to answer any questions and offer support for her pattern. It has also become an incredible venue for posting your pictures of both completed socks and WIPs. 
  
• A little gift, which is always my most favorite part of the package.
